The clan’s spirit test determines a child’s aptitude among the four soul types: Enforcer (Shield), Striker (Arrow), Ruler (Scepter), or Forger (Hammer). Those who show no aptitude are branded Unsouled — assigned a wooden badge meaning “empty” in the old language. [US Ch.1]

The Path of the White Fox works through light and dream madra, specializing in illusion and misdirection. Its techniques include:
- Foxfire (Striker) — White illusory flame that causes pain without physical heat; “pale flame crawled over his wrist” [US Ch.5]
- Fox Mirror (Forger) — Creates illusory copies, walls, and disguises; “phantom soldiers” [US Ch.7]

Leadership
The clan is led by Patriarch Wei Jin Sairus, a Jade-level sacred artist with a silver lion appearance who manages clan politics and military affairs. He leads the clan’s defense during the Seven-Year Festival when Li Markuth attacks. [US Ch.9-10]

History
During the Seven-Year Festival, the Wei Clan faced Li Markuth’s assault alongside the other gathered clans. Patriarch Sairus led the defense, but no one in the valley had the power to resist a being who had advanced far beyond Gold. The massacre was erased when Suriel reversed time. [US Ch.8-10]
After Lindon’s departure from Sacred Valley, Suriel’s Presence detected a DIVERGENCE: the destruction of the Wei Clan. Elder Anses was already urging a march on Wei territory. [US Epilogue]
